400 MW GAS TURBINE PROJECT FOR CLEANER POWER GENERATION IN ISRAEL
Energy Services and its affiliate, Mitsubishi Power Aero, announce that the Zomet Power Station has achieved commercial operation in June 2023. The two companies executed a turnkey agreement with Zomet Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of OPC Energy, to construct the 400-megawatt power plant near Kiryat Gat, Israel. The natural gas-powered plant features six FT4000® gas turbine units.
The project scope included overall plant design, balance of plant equipment, construction, commissioning, and a long-term maintenance agreement. This state-of-the-art plant will provide dependable and flexible energy that is critical to supporting Israel’s growing renewable energy sources.
